The Sr. Sports Marketing Manager (SSMM) drives the development and leads the execution of Sports Marketing initiatives across the Southeast Region (FL, GA, NC, SC, TN, AR, LA, MS, AL). Through events, athletes, the SSMM builds local and regional brand affinity while paying into Red Bull's relevant global and national strategies.

Job Description

ATHLETES AND INFLUENCERS

Establish a rich network in regional sports scenes to maintain awareness of latest sports trends and scenes.

Identify locally relevant athletes' stories and help create opportunities to amplify their reach within the region and nationally.

With Athlete Marketing Managers and the National Athlete Marketing team, identify, develop and build relationships with local athlete talent.

EVENT INITIATIVES & PROJECTS

Influence and contribute to the annual Region Sports Marketing Business Plan.

Lead the project management and execution of local Red Bull Sports Marketing events.

Use knowledge of local sports scenes and sports landscape to inform development of new event concepts.

Oversee regional Sports Marketing resources to maximize the impact of local events.

Support Athlete and Event Marketing Managers with accomplishing athlete projects and sport events.

GAMING

Work with Gaming team colleagues to identify opportunities in the region to reach the gaming consumer and bring the brand to life through gaming events, players, and the community.

Build a network in the gaming communities to build relevance and frequency of touchpoints with the gamer following national strategies.

COLLABORATION & DISCOVERY

Lead and partner with Sales, Event Logistics, and Event and Athlete Marketing Managers to ensure quality planning all Sports Marketing activities in the region.

Identify relevant branded and non-branded sports content and stories for our owned and shared media channels.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Find and hire the right people to lead regional Sports Marketing projects.

Manage direct reports towards annual regional goals.

Promote a culture by focusing on individual, strengths-based development.

Identify and train employees for succession opportunities.

Provide direct and productive feedback to help maintain quality performance.

Create a culture that rewards effort and execution following Red Bull's values.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing with a focus on sports, athletes, and consumers.
  • Experience & knowledge managing Events, Athlete, Team partnerships and NIL; including negotiation, contract management, and activation planning.
  • An understanding of traditional and non-traditional brand marketing strategies.
  • A history of taking ideas from conceptual ideation to execution.
  • Experience with identifying different sports trends and scenes on a regional and national level.
  • Experience managing complex budgets, agency/vendor partners, and resource allocation across multiple projects or markets.
  • Experience leading teams, managing direct reports, and developing talent across multiple markets or functions.
  • Strong understanding of mainstream, emerging, and local sports cultures, with the ability to identify relevant trends, communities, talent, and storytelling opportunities with an emphasis on content.
Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $115,200- $172,800 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
