Your Impact
The Assistant Manager of Sports Marketing, Partnerships will work with Sports Marketing leadership to assist in conceiving marketing strategies that capitalize on growth opportunities with prioritized sports partnerships by leveraging sports contracts, consumer insights, understanding the competitive landscape, and working closely with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Merchandising and Operations as well as Lowe's approved marketing agencies to drive the overall strategic success of Lowe's. The position will report to the Manager or Sr Manager of Sports Marketing and will serve as a subject matter expert of an assigned Marketing department. This role contributes to partnership planning, evaluation, and execution by coordinating partner and cross-functional efforts, supporting campaigns, events, and activation development, and helping maintain strong partner relationships. The Associate Marketing Manager plays a key role in ensuring marketing and operational excellence, accurate documentation, contract management, budgeting, and alignment between partners and Lowe's to achieve go-to-market priorities.
What You Will Do
Partners with the sports marketing, event, activation, hospitality manager and sports marketing agency within a small “pod in an “agile type setting to develop and execute partnership programs across the sports marketing calendar driving alignment with key stakeholders and delivering on highly effective partnership program, tactics and action plans that meet critical KPIs. Should also be able to function independently in this capacity should the
sports manager need support.
Acts as the primary subject matter expert on assigned partnership agreements, maintaining a deep understanding of contractual rights, assets, and activation opportunities while ensuring compliance and maximizing partnership value.
Collaborates with Sports Marketing leadership and Brand Marketing to develop annual and quarterly partnership marketing plans, translating business strategies into integrated activation roadmaps and measurable marketing initiatives.
Owns day-to-day relationship management for assigned sports partners, leading recurring business reviews, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, managing timelines, and ensuring contractual deliverables and marketing activations are executed on time and at a high standard.
Supports the execution and optimization of both long-term partnership strategies and annual activation calendars, driving collaboration across internal teams and external partners to strengthen brand equity, customer engagement, and commercial impact.
Serves as an integration lead across Marketing and key enterprise functions—including Brand, Creative, Media, Public Relations, Community Relations, Merchandising, Legal, Procurement, and external agency partners—to ensure coordinated planning, execution, and delivery of partnership initiatives.
Partners with Sports Marketing leadership and agency teams to evaluate partnership performance, leveraging
campaign measurement, business analytics, and post-program insights to assess effectiveness, inform optimization opportunities, and guide future investment decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Merchandising, Marketing or relevant field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
3 Years Overall marketing experience
1 Year Strong business acumen and experience running a P&L and/or working alongside P&L owners
1 Year Leadership experience
1 Year Experience writing strategic briefs and working cross-functionally and leading brand marketing or integrated teams
2-3 Years Experience leading sports or brand work at a retailer, CPG company or Agency
