Job description

Position Overview
Tuckernuck is looking for a Production Apparel Manager to own the full production lifecycle of our private label Sport collection including special projects - from development hand-off through final delivery. This role connects quality, speed, and margin, partnering closely with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, and global vendors to bring product to life on time and within margin goals. The right candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where process discipline and brand integrity go hand in hand.
Core Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end production process across women's apparel and other verticals, from development through delivery.
  • Lead weekly production meetings with Merchandising, Design, TD, and Quality to align on calendar, resolve issues, and maintain critical path timelines.
  • Collaborate with Design and Merchandising on cost targets and production feasibility from proto to bulk.
  • Communicate daily with global vendors to oversee on-time production, confirm shipping schedules, and troubleshoot quality issues.
  • Negotiate costs with vendors seasonally; analyze margin performance and drive improvement without compromising quality.
  • Partner with Technical Design to ensure fit approvals, QA standards, and packaging and label guidelines are met.
  • Source and develop trims in partnership with Design; manage submissions, tracking, and approvals from development through bulk sign-off.
  • Maintain the digital and physical trim library, ensuring all components are documented, approved, and accessible across teams.
  • Ensure accurate PO entry and delivery tracking in ERP/tech systems.
  • Maintain working knowledge of customs tariffs and freight costs as they relate to landed pricing.
  • Support vendor sourcing and onboarding as the brand scales

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in apparel production, preferably in a fashion e-commerce or direct-to-consumer environment

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, production processes, and fabric knowledge across multiple categories
  • Experience working with overseas factories and navigating timezone, language, and logistical dynamics
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, troubleshoot under pressure, and stay organized amidst shifting priorities
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with PLM systems and ERP platforms a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with creative and operational teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude-excited to be hands-on and solutions-oriented
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Production, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field preferred

Compensation
Compensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. The estimated annual compensation for this role is $80,000-$90,000; classified as full-time exempt and not eligible for overtime. At Tuckernuck, we care about our team and offer benefits that support your health, growth, and work-life balance. This includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with a company match, generous paid time off and holiday, paid new parent leave, a generous employee discount, and other great perks.
