Here at Moorpark 76, Our attendants all contribute to the workplace as a team and perform a mixture of different roles according to the needs of the business. Gas Station Attendants will find themselves working at the register, stocking merchandise for the store and cooler, and occasionally helping out with guiding patrons into the car wash tunnel. Openers and Closers also have a specific procedure to follow for their respective shifts. We are looking to hire attendants who have previous experience at gas stations/car washes. Hours and full time availability will be discussed and assessed during the interview process.ย 

16.50-19$ per hour

Responsibilities for Gas Station Attendant Include:

  • Maintaining a friendly, courteous and professional attitude by being attentive to customer needs and neat in appearance while wearing company uniform.

  • Handling transactions, card and cash payments and ending each shift with a balanced register. Additionally, ending every transaction with an upsell question.

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with company's standards and procedures.

  • Know and follow federal alcohol and tobacco sales laws; Validating customerโ€™s ID cards during transactions.

  • Restocking store shelves, maintaining inventory, front facing products, organizing displays, ensuring all food is labeled with date and time of preparation, updating price labels, etc.

  • Ensure the station and its restrooms are clean, tidy and well stocked by performing consistent station cleaning and mopping or sweeping of the indoor and outdoor facilities including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash.

  • Meet or exceed company's sales and service standards by enthusiastically supporting sales initiatives via upselling, engaging in conversation with customers, upselling promotions and responding to customer complaints in a calm and collected manner.

In addition to the above points:

  • This position is entry level, however previous experience is preffered, and candidates should be quality conscious.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility

  • Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily

  • Clean windows and countertops, mop the floors, replace light bulbs, and supply restrooms, and perform minor repairs on a regular basis

  • Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees

  • Secure building by locking doors once cleaning is complete

  • Write reports of areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and ensure the safety of self and others at the station at all times.
