Electrical EngineerPosition Summary
Ross Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the design and execution of industrial electrical systems across a variety of projects. This role will focus on power distribution and/or instrumentation & controls, with opportunities to contribute across the full project lifecycle—from design through field support and commissioning.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, practical field awareness, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and support electrical designs for industrial projects
  • Prepare and review equipment submittals, including:
    • Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear
    • Low Voltage (LV) Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
    • Motors and associated equipment
  • Design and support systems involving:
    • 4160V and 480V power distribution
    • Instrumentation and controls systems
    • PLC panel design and layout
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and field teams to ensure successful execution
  • Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning phases
  • Assist with troubleshooting, field walkdowns, and system verification
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
  • Support documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • PE license not required, but strongly preferred or willingness to pursue licensure
  • 5–8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience

Experience Requirements
  • Experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial projects preferred
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
    • Medium and low voltage power systems (4160V / 480V)
    • Instrumentation and controls
    • PLC panel design
  • Experience preparing or reviewing equipment submittals
  • Field experience or exposure to construction environments is a strong plus
