Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solaris System Administrator with strong expertise in Unix infrastructure administration, platform modernization, and Solaris-to-Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering enterprise Solaris and Linux environments while leading infrastructure transformation activities, including assessment, discovery, application dependency mapping, migration planning, platform modernization, build automation, and production support.

This role requires deep technical expertise in Solaris administration, Linux engineering, infrastructure automation, virtualization technologies, middleware integration, and enterprise production support within mission-critical environments.

Required Technical/Functional Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience in Solaris 10/11 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration.

  • Administer and support Solaris and RHEL environments across Development, Test, UAT, DR, and Production environments.

  • Experience with Solaris Zones, Containers, Logical Domains (LDOMs), and virtualization technologies.

  • Perform operating system installation, configuration, patching, hardening, upgrades, and lifecycle management.

  • Expertise in system performance tuning, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and health monitoring.

  • Strong knowledge of ZFS, NFS, UFS, volume management, storage allocation, and file system administration.
