As Senior Manager, General Liability Claims, you will lead a large claims operation with enterprise-wide visibility. This role suits a strategic leader who can balance people, operations, analytics, litigation, compliance, and cost management while improving liability risk, claims performance, customer experience, and best practices across multiple states.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the strategy, operations, and performance of Publix's general liability claims function, including customer and fleet claims.
  • Guide and develop managers, supervisors, and claims professionals while building a culture of accountability, quality, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee claims investigations, evaluations, negotiations, settlements, and litigation management to promote consistency, compliance, and sound outcomes.
  • Monitor claims performance, financial results, and operational trends to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management.
  • Use analytics, industry research, quality metrics, and key performance indicators to strengthen claims practices and guide business decisions.
  • Ensure claims operations meet applicable regulatory, reporting, licensing, and industry standards across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to support effective claims resolution and proactive risk mitigation.
Perks of Working at Publix
  • Employee ownership through our ESOP.
  • Free lunch at our corporate facilities.
  • Opportunity to influence enterprise-wide risk management and claims strategies.
  • Career growth and leadership development with a company known for investing in its people.
