We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team in the commercial construction sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel on-site while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company standards. If you are passionate about fostering a culture of safety and have a proven track record in construction safety management, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to commercial construction projects. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Provide training and guidance to employees, contractors, and stakeholders on safety protocols and best practices. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure company compliance. Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to promote a proactive safety culture. Monitor and manage safety equipment, ensuring availability and proper use on-site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the commercial construction industry. In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations, standards, and best practices. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30/OSHA 500, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) are highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze complex situations and provide practical safety solutions. Proficiency in safety management software and tools is a plus.

Day-to-Day

Conduct daily site safety inspections and address any identified risks or hazards. Facilitate safety training sessions and ensure all team members are informed of safety protocols. Review and update safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements. Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns. Coordinate with project teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into daily operations. Monitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and other safety standards. Prepare and submit regular safety performance reports to senior management.
