Role: Marketing Coordinator (HYBRID, AEC Required)

What you'll be doing...

Writing & Digital Content Management (60%)

  • Work with a variety of teams to develop creative solutions for ESSC, our subsidiaries, our partners, and clients; contribute to creative brainstorming sessions
  • Develop, manage, and maintain ESSC and subsidiary brand website(s), updating and creating content, writing new pages, applying SEO basics, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve user experience and site performance (in collaboration with design and development teams)
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote company and e-commerce campaigns and website updates, ensuring messaging and delivery are effective, cohesive, and on brand
  • Create, plan, and coordinate a wide range of marketing content for emails and text messages, social media, promotional material, e-commerce, and more
  • Conduct research, set KPIs, develop analytics, and utilize communication tech tools to track, monitor, and enhance campaign performance
  • Manage day-to-day deadlines and responsibilities of all assigned projects, ensuring timely reviews and approvals before distribution

Enterprise Capabilities Positioning & Documentation (20%)

  • Research, write, and maintain shared documentation that articulates the company's enterprise-level capabilities, in collaboration with subject matter experts and capability leaders
  • Develop and update capabilities statements, one-pagers, case studies, and other collateral that support enterprise business development efforts
  • Maintain a centralized library of approved content assets for use across teams

Proposal & Pursuit Management (10%)

  • Coordinate and contribute to the creation of RFQ/RFP responses, qualifications packages, and pursuit materials in collaboration with marketing and pre-construction teams
  • Manage proposal timelines, track ESSC and subsidiary deadlines, gather pursuit-specific information and tailor content accordingly, ensuring on-time delivery of all submission materials
  • Write, edit, and format proposal content including executive summaries, project narratives, resumes, and more
  • Apply enterprise capabilities documentation, showcasing value to the specific pursuit

Event Support (10%)

  • Provide logistical and marketing support for local and enterprise-level events, including internal company events, enterprise leadership meetings, and community sponsorships
  • Assist with event planning tasks such as vendor coordination, collateral preparation, registration management, and on-site support
  • Develop registration websites that align with campaign goals and internal communications, in collaboration with other marketing team members

You're a good fit if...

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • You have 2-3 years of marketing experience
  • You have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • You are an exceptional writer with clear, compelling, and adaptable writing across formats and brand voice/tone, from proposals and business development content to web copy and internal communications
  • You have experience in the A/E/C industry, specifically with proposal writing and business development support; you understand the rhythm of pursuits, go/no-go decisions, and what it takes to put together a winning submittal
  • You have solid experience in social and digital marketing tactics, including analytics and performance tracking
  • You're comfortable managing a website and content in a CMS (WordPress experience preferred), thinking about structure and usability, and making updates confidently
  • You have experience working with UX/UI designers and website developers
  • You are detail-oriented with strong proofreading and quality control skills
  • You are a strong collaborator, self-starter, and analytical thinker with sound judgment
  • You have the ability to translate complex information into laymen's terms
  • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines
  • You proactively evaluate tools, platforms, and processes for effectiveness
  • You communicate clearly, think quickly, and respond with urgency when needed
  • You are confident representing the organization externally, including media interactions and executive support
  • You have strong project management skills, including workflow and stakeholder coordination
  • You bring a positive, team-oriented attitude, and a sense of humor

Bonus skills/experience:

  • We use Monday (project management), WordPress (website), Sprout (social media), Mailchimp, and Cision (PR), so it would be fantastic if you already know some of these tech tools.
  • Hablas espanol? We routinely translate our copy into Spanish. If you can write or QC Spanish content, that would be outstanding!

Location
This team member will work out of the Kansas City, MO office located in the River Market district. Other office locations would be considered.
