Job description

TRIC Robotics is revolutionizing crop protection and sustainable farming. By combining ultraviolet (UV) light, robotics, and deep hands-on farm experience, we've developed a patented technology that delivers the most effective chemical-free approach to controlling pests and diseases in fruit production.

Starting in California strawberries, we have quickly gained momentum with commitments from farmers, industry leaders, and investors. Now, we are growing our team.

We're looking for passionate, driven individuals who want to join an innovative, fast-moving company transforming the way our food is grown. If you're excited to shape the future of sustainable agriculture through real-world impact and cutting-edge technology, we'd love to hear from you.

Position Summary

As the Mechanical/Agricultural Design Engineer at TRIC Robotics, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians developing, deploying, and maintaining our robotic solutions. You'll oversee all stages of the engineering lifecycle-from concept to field implementation-while driving innovation and ensuring product reliability and scalability for commercial agricultural use.

Responsibilities

  • Define engineering project scopes, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians to develop technical capacity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with field operations, R&D, and executive leadership.
  • Ensure design for manufacturability (DFM), cost efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
  • Oversee the integration of software, mechanical, and electrical systems in field-ready prototypes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging agricultural technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in agricultural machinery design and leadership.
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and project management tools.
  • Expertise in agricultural systems, hydraulics, and ICE engines.
  • Experience working with farmers and end users to gather product feedback.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex ideas into practical solutions.

Total Compensation

  • Salary starting at $90,000
  • Employer Sponsored Medical, Vision, and Dental Coverage
