Job description

ย Join our Florida Region while building some of the nationโ€™s most complex water and wastewater projects. We offer a collaborative and problem-solving environment where you will be rewarded and offered development and growth opportunities while putting your skills to use every day.ย The individual in this position supervises and plans all the site field engineering work, including establishing and maintaining all project control and layout, performing field measurements, and supervising field engineering employees.

Qualified candidates should have a four year degree in engineering or surveying with a minimum of five years of experience in construction surveying, or, a two year degree with seven years of experience, or high school diploma with nine years of experience. Water treatment plant experience required. Level IV CST certification, or willing and able to obtain the certification at the companyโ€™s request. Ability to independently lead all phases of site engineering work on large projects with multiple subordinates.

  • Use and maintain surveying equipment such as levels, lasers, GPS, total stations, robotic total stations, and data collectors, and should be highly skilled in Autodesk Civil 3D, Tekla Structures, Autodesk Plant 3D, Autodesk 360, AutoCAD, general computer applications, and mobile devices.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors year round, carry equipment and walk throughout the day.
  • Supervise the field engineering staff.
  • Select field engineering equipment and methods.
  • Prepare and maintain project record of as-built drawings including posting RFIโ€™s, clarifications, change orders, and field modifications.
  • Develop primary project horizontal and vertical controls, and secondary project control
  • Collect field measurements for data collection, shop drawing dimensions, unit completion reports, change order estimates, etc.
  • Develop site standards and procedures for field \engineers to provide consistency and accuracy between engineering teams
