Position Overview:
This position is responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and delivery of management reporting that supports strategic decision-making across the organization. This role partners closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide accurate, insightful, and timely financial analysis and performance reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in finance and economics with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • (50 %) Own the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages. Responsible for distributing reporting and communicating with stakeholders.
  • (20%) Investigate model performance to determine areas for improvement and coordinate with financial modeling teams to address these
  • (10 %) Partner with Accounting, Loan Administration, and other business units to determine reporting needs, gather inputs, and align financial assumptions.
  • (10 %) Establish best practices, documentation, and governance for financial reporting
  • (10 %) Remain abreast of current macroeconomic environment and communicate potential impacts on credit union activities. Remain abreast of best practices within the industry through publications, membership in professional organizations and contact with other financial institutions.

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field of study will be given first preference in hiring decisions.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in financial risk, financial modeling, or financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAS, Python, Excel.

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience managing a team performing financial risk, financial modeling, or financial reporting.
