Job description

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Chicago, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

Minimum Years of Experience:  2 years.  Will not accept first time traveler

Required Licensure & Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Pyxis
Hemodynamics: Phillips
PACS: Merge
Unit Equipment: Phillips c-arm

Case Types/Common Diagnoses: Procedure labs, Cath and EP.  Diagnostic/Interventional, LHC/RCH, NSTEMI and STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave, temp pacers, peripheral (legs) diagnostic/intervention, loop recorders.  Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, generator changes

Average Daily Case Load:  5-15 cases per day

Skills required: moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl, critical drip management, monitor/circulate cases, preferred to have experience with all above case types

Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: call only, see below
On call? Yes, for RNs and Techs
Weekends: Call Schedules are in 4-week increments. In a 4-week schedule, there will be 2 shifts needed for weekend coverage: either a Saturday and Sunday together or can be split up but will need a total of 2 weekend shifts in the 4-week schedule.
Weekday: 4-5 additional overnight call shifts per 4-week schedule
30-minute response time
No sleep room available
Holiday Expectations: possibility of being on call
Approval of RTO: up to 7 days
Shift times: 10h shifts, 0700-1730
Schedule cycle: Schedule made in 6-week increments. Self-scheduling with manager final approval

Parking: Agency can sign up for parking, which is $47.50 for the month or $23.75 for two weeks. We have plenty of parking. We are also minutes from the CTA Brown line if they decide to use public transportation
