Short Intro and About the Job
The Market Manager, Retail Broker Central is responsible for elevating executional performance across the Central United States by leading and developing our Retail Agency partners-key broker organizations that execute in-store activities on behalf of Danone. This role ensures agencies consistently deliver against our standards through regular in-market work-withs, clear KPI tracking, strong coaching, and disciplined scorecard reviews.
As the primary steward of field execution quality, the Market Manager ensures broker teams drive distribution, merchandising excellence, display activation, and overall retail readiness that enhances product availability, visibility, and conversion across the region. Success in this role requires a highly organized, data-driven leader who can influence, set clear expectations, and hold teams accountable while building collaborative, trust-based relationships.
The Market Manager will partner closely with Sales, Retail Execution and Category Management to ensure alignment on priorities and seamless execution in the field. This position reports directly to the Director, Retail Execution - West & Central.
Key Deliverables
  • Conduct regular in-store work-withs with broker partner field representatives to observe execution, coach in real time, and reinforce Danone priorities.
  • Hold broker partners accountable to coverage expectations, merchandising standards, and activation timelines.
  • Ensure broker resources are effectively deployed across priority accounts, geographic areas, and needs.
  • Deliver clear and measurable performance expectations to broker District Managers and field leaders.
  • Validate that broker partners maintain consistent routing and coverage patterns aligned to business priorities.
  • Conduct performance audits and store-level assessments to verify alignment to Danone's standards.
  • Support new item launches through broker partner readiness, clear tasking, and validation of placement.
  • Troubleshoot store-level issues (oos, pog gaps, pricing inconsistencies) with broker teams and customers.
  • Maintain scorecard reporting to drive visibility into execution, broker performance, and priority metrics.
  • Analyze data from audits and scorecards to identify trends, diagnose gaps, and develop action plans.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with broker partner leadership to evaluate results, highlight opportunities, and align on corrective actions.
  • Validate broker reporting accuracy and ensure timely submission of required deliverables.
  • Serve as the field liaison between customer teams and broker partners, ensuring priorities are clearly communicated and consistently executed.
  • Share marketplace insights, competitive observations, and field intelligence with internal teams.
  • Manage complexity across a large geographic region with varying needs, store formats, and broker structures.
  • Ensure broker teams follow standardized operating routines to maintain consistency and efficiency.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.   • Bachelor's degree
