Part time retail jobs are positions within retail stores or businesses where employees work fewer hours than full-time staff, typically less than 35-40 hours per week. These roles often involve tasks such as assisting customers, restocking shelves, operating cash registers, and maintaining store cleanliness. Part time retail jobs offer flexible schedules, making them ideal for students, parents, or those seeking supplemental income. They also provide valuable customer service experience and can serve as a stepping stone to full-time employment or advancement within the company.

Outstanding communication, teamwork, and adaptability help you connect with customers and support your colleagues in a dynamic environment. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering excellent customer experiences, efficient store operations, and achieving sales goals.

Job description

Description
The Little Wren Shop is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Part-Time Retail Associate to join our small team in Morrison, Colorado.
We are a curated home and gift boutique located in a historic building at the base of Red Rocks Amphitheatre. As a small, independently owned business, every member of our team plays an important role in how the shop operates and in the experience we provide our customers.
This is much more than standing behind a register and checking out customers. Our Retail Associates are actively involved in all aspects of the shop, including customer service, merchandising, stocking, receiving and unpacking shipments, maintaining displays, organizing inventory, and keeping the store beautiful and welcoming.
The role is also physically active. Team members spend significant time on their feet and regularly handle merchandise and shipments, including lifting and carrying boxes and products, restocking, rearranging displays, and bending, reaching, and crouching throughout the day.
We are especially looking for someone who takes ownership of their role and genuinely cares about doing excellent work. The right person notices what needs attention and takes initiative without always waiting to be asked. They look for ways to help, support their teammates, follow through on responsibilities, and are willing to go the extra mile when something needs to get done.
We are seeking someone who can commit to a consistent and dependable part-time schedule, while also understanding that some flexibility comes with working for a small independent business. We are not a corporate chain with a large staffing pool, and occasionally unexpected circumstances arise - such as large inventory shipments, seasonal merchandise deliveries, staffing changes, special events, or particularly busy periods.
We do not expect employees to be constantly on call or available every time an additional need arises. We do, however, need team members who have reasonable flexibility and, when able, are willing to step in and support the team when an important business need arises. Additional hours may periodically be available during busy seasons, large shipment periods, and other times when the shop needs additional help.
We are looking for someone who wants to become a reliable, engaged, and invested member of a small team and who takes genuine pride in contributing to the success of the shop.
