Job description

Project Manager

Bench Dogs | Denver, PA (On-site) | Full-time | $78,000โ€“$95,000/year

Own your projects from PO to installation

At Bench Dogs, our Project Managers aren't ticket-pushers - they own the whole job. From the moment a purchase order lands until the last fixture is installed on the floor, you're the person our clients call, the one keeping engineering, production, and installation moving in the same direction, and the one who gets to see a project you ran standing in a store.

We're a custom fixture and millwork manufacturer in Denver, PA (Lancaster County), and we're growing. You'll join an established PM team under our new VP of Project Management and run a portfolio of concurrent retail programs for national and regional brands.

What you'll do
  • Manage 8โ€“15 concurrent retail fixture projects of varying size and complexity, from order receipt through fabrication, delivery, and installation
  • Serve as the primary client contact - status updates, change management, problem-solving, and the occasional hard conversation
  • Build and maintain project schedules in coordination with our scheduling coordinator, engineering, and production teams
  • Review drawings and specifications with our engineering group; catch constructability and scope issues before they hit the shop floor
  • Track project budgets and margins; process change orders and keep scope creep honest
  • Coordinate freight, delivery windows, and third-party installation crews at retail sites nationwide
  • Close out projects cleanly: punch lists, client sign-off, and lessons learned
What you bring

Required:

  • 3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, construction, millwork, or similar built-environment setting
  • Proven ability to run multiple concurrent projects without dropping balls
  • Strong client-facing communication skills - written and verbal
  • Comfort reading shop drawings and technical specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools
  • Ability to work on-site at our Denver, PA facility

Nice to have:

  • Experience in retail fixtures, store environments, casework, or custom millwork
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • PMP or CAPM certification
  • Experience coordinating field installation crews
What we offer
  • Salary: $78,000โ€“$95,000, based on experience - and we benchmark our compensation against market data annually, so you won't have to leave to get a fair raise
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • A profitable, growing, family-owned company where PMs have a real voice and direct access to leadership
