Job Summary

The Territory Manager - Bay Area, is responsible for executing retail distribution plans and driving product sales and marketing programs across an assigned California territory. Acting as the primary liaison between Kiva's brand portfolio and retail partners, this role builds strong retailer relationships, ensures full territory coverage each reporting cycle, and works cross-functionally to bring client programs to life on the shelf.

As KSS's Territory Manager - Bay Area, you will...
Drive Retail Sales & Distribution
  • Execute retail distribution plans and meet quotas across the full brand portfolio within your designated territory.
  • Meet and exceed assigned quotas to drive overall performance.
  • Deliver 100% coverage of your assigned retail territory every reporting cycle, according to client frequency plans.

Build Retailer Relationships

  • Serve as the liaison between the brand and retailer to introduce, maintain and grow product sales and marketing programs.
  • Regularly meet with retailers to promote and enhance their customer experience, developing the strongest possible relationships.

Collaborate & Communicate

  • Communicate client information to retailers and internal departments to effectively execute programs.
  • Uphold Compliance
  • Adhere to company safety and compliance policies at all times.
What we're looking for...
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience in Cannabis, CPG, Food + Beverage and/or Wine + Spirits industries.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with data platforms.
  • Organized, accurate, detail-oriented and professional.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • CRM/HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • Google Suite experience recommended.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Cannabis product knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must meet KSS’s Motor Vehicle requirements
Salary plus quarterly bonus. Please note, we consider a number of factors such as internal pay parity, relevant experience/skills, geographic location, etc.
Work Environment
  • This role requires frequent travel to client sites, trade shows, or industry events.
  • Work may be performed in varying environments, including offices, retail settings, and outdoor locations.    
  • Regular use of a personal  vehicle required
  • The work environment may vary daily, requiring adaptability and self-management.

Physical Requirements

  • This role operates primarily in the field as well as a remote/home office environment using standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and video conferencing tools.
  • The employee is expected to maintain a professional workspace free from excessive noise or distractions during working hours.
  • Frequent travel to client sites, company offices, or team meetings may be necessary based on business needs.
  • Regular virtual collaboration with team members across multiple time zones may be required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
  • Employees must have reliable internet access and an appropriate remote workspace that supports confidentiality and productivity.
