Job Details

A Day in This Role

Your morning starts with a quick huddle on the day's dispatch board — who's where, what's urgent, what can wait. You walk the shop floor, check in with a technician working through a tricky install, then sit down with last week's numbers: labor hours, job costs, collections. You take a call from a key account who wants a status update, personally, because that's the kind of relationship you maintain. By afternoon you're reviewing a new hire's first week and thinking through how a preventative-maintenance push could reduce next month's emergency calls.

The Role
  • Own day-to-day P&L for the branch, overseeing Sales, Project Management/Customer Service, Technicians, Safety, Training, Equipment, Inventory & Purchasing, and Dispatching.
  • Manage scheduling & dispatch, staff training, customer service coordination, billing/AR/AP, and invoicing/collections.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and lead the full branch team.
  • Build and promote a safety-first culture, including a preventative maintenance program across all locations.
  • Review weekly/monthly sales, product mix, and profitability reports; maintain close contact with key customers.
  • Provide timely financial and KPI reporting to company leadership.
  • Recruit talented employees across all functions of the business.
  • Represent the branch in the local community — trade organizations, civic associations, and networking that supports growth.
What You Bring — Must-Haves
  • Proven experience managing and directing the operations of a business unit, with direct P&L ownership.
  • Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability to drive satisfaction.
  • Financial acumen — comfortable analyzing KPIs and financial statements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
What You Bring — Nice-to-Haves
  • Commercial door, dock, or access-control industry experience specifically.
  • Prior career path through a Service Manager or similar technical-operations track.
  • Experience integrating a business post-acquisition.
Career Path

Branch Managers who build strong, profitable operations are natural candidates for multi-branch or regional oversight as the platform continues to expand through acquisition — this is a company actively looking to grow its next layer of regional leadership from within.

A bit about us:

Run your branch like it's your own business — full P&L, real autonomy, and a company that's growing fast enough to make your next move an easy one.

Our client is a fast-growing, private-equity-backed operator in the commercial door, dock, and access-control space, expanding through acquisition across multiple U.S. markets. Their branches run lean and hands-on — this is a company that wants leaders who'll get in the weeds, not just manage from a distance.

The salary range above doesn't include additional compensation perks.

Why join us?
  • Full P&L ownership — run your branch like it's your own business, with real autonomy and real accountability.
  • Direct path for career growth as the company continues to scale through acquisition.
  • Right people, right seats — a culture that invests in developing its leaders.
  • Support from a growing platform without the bureaucracy of a large corporate structure.
  • The chance to build your own team from the ground up, including who you hire and how you run things.
