Job description

OVERVIEW
Responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of legal or regulatory compliance policies, processes, and procedures, including US export compliance and other regulatory and policy landscapes of assigned business units.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the SME on regulatory compliance and consult cross-functional partners across business units, especially on U.S. export compliance and international trade topics
  • Determine U.S. export classifications for new products and ensure the information is accurately documented in the appropriate ERP systems, and update ERP systems with changes to classifications
  • Audit records to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Review export transactions to determine required documentation and authorizations
  • Apply for export licenses (ITAR and EAR)
  • Prepare and administer Technical Assistance Agreements and Related requirements
  • Review and dispose of Denied Party Screening for exports, sanctions and other requirements
  • Ensure export license applications and licenses for technical data, hardware, and services are in accordance with company policies and procedures and U.S. Government export regulations and laws
  • Support internal customers and assist with relevant regulatory compliance, potentially including U.S. Department of Energy, FARS/DFARS
  • Conduct regular audits; prepare written report results
  • Develop and provide training across the organization on import, export, and other compliance-related topics
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes affecting US export and other assigned topics
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in international business, economics, business or other relevant field preferred
  • 5+ years in regulatory and/or export compliance environment required
  • SNAPR and DECCS knowledge required
  • Experience in an Empowered Official role
  • Ability to navigate various ambiguous regulated business units
  • Demonstrated expertise with U.S Export Compliance
  • Strong background in U.S. Customs regulation that includes ITAR & OFAC
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and explain complex regulations to cross-functional partners
