How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound exams as a Cardiac Sonographer to evaluate heart structures using advanced clinical protocols.
  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic images and clinical documentation to the EMR and PACS for accurate physician review and patient diagnosis.
  • Execute precise imaging procedures by adjusting equipment parameters and transducer maneuvers to capture critical pathology and minimize imaging artifacts.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards and quality improvement protocols to ensure full compliance with healthcare regulatory agencies and department policies.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care while managing procedure room readiness and specialized imaging equipment.
What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiac Sonographer specializing in Adult Echo credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Pediatric Echocardiography Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) or Fetal Echocardiography Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-FE) also accepted.
    • Medical Sonographer specializing in Fetal Echocardiography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.  Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (CCI ACS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCCS) also accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
  • 2+ years of hospital experience 
  • Pediatric Echo experience highly preferred
