Abundance Strategies is a full-service development consulting firm dedicated to providing strategic guidance and capacity support to progressive organizations to support their growth and sustainability. Our work focuses on positioning organizations for optimal fundraising outcomes.
The Project Associate is a full-time position and is responsible for providing project support to multiple clients while assisting Abundance Strategies in general office management. A successful candidate will have some fundraising or project management experience and be excited to work in a fast-paced work environment, proficiently handling a dynamic and important set of tasks. We pride ourselves on excellent work and having fun.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Management (60%)
  • Track and monitor client activities. Set agendas and ensure follow-up items from meetings are distributed and acted on.
  • Assist in drafting development plans and producing written materials for clients as needed.
  • Conduct extensive research on prospective funding opportunities for clients including, foundations, corporations, and individual donors; draft prospective donor profiles and briefings and develop prospect lists.
  • Create and organize development materials for clients, including templates, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Compile notes and data from informational stakeholder interviews, weekly client calls, and events.
  • Assist on client events as needed, including in-person and virtual engagements.
  • Respond to client and prospective client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize various CRM databases and track workflow.
  • Ensure that project tasks are completed in a timely manner, including organizing and managing up to senior team members ensuring their responsibilities are completed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Office Management (40%)
  • Manage Principals' schedules and appointment requests.
  • Assist in client billing, expenses, and contracts.
  • Manage firm website, branded materials, and database (PipeDrive).
  • Maintain relationships with firm vendors, office resources, and off-site meeting prep.
  • Organize Principals' work-related travel.
  • Oversee seasonal internships (including hiring and participant management).
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED:
A successful candidate will be excited to work in a fast-paced work environment, proficiently handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to support multiple projects successfully and work well on multiple deadlines in tandem.
  • Excellent customer-service skills, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong virtual communication and collaboration: efficiency and comfort with MS Office Suite and Google Suite, responsiveness via email, and willingness to participate in weekly group calls or as needed.
  • Strong commitment to the progressive movement.
  • Grace under pressure.
  • Sense of humor.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with CRM Databases (i.e. Salesforce, Blackbaud, Raisers Edge) and Wealth Research tools such as iWave or Foundation Directory.
  • Experience using Zoom Webinar is a plus.
  • Knowledge of national philanthropic landscape is a plus

LOCATED IN: Abundance Strategies currently offers hybrid work, with staff working from the office Tuesday - Thursday. All staff are required to be vaccinated.
SALARY: $55,000- $65,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.
