Job description
Description
We are looking for a compassionate and team-oriented BIPP Coordinator to join our Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) team. The BIPP Coordinator manages the BIPP referral and intake process and supports the implementation of specialized BIPP services through coordination of Adult Women's services, Adolescent Non-Violence Program (ANVP) and the Partner Advocate Program. The BIPP Coordinator provides individual intake and exit sessions, facilitates psycho-educational group sessions, and participant orientations. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence, strong written and oral communication skills, and experience working with clients in individual and group settings.
Employment Status: Full Time, Exempt
Reports to: Director of Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP)
Supervises: Intake Specialist, Assigned Interns and Volunteers
Primary Functions:
- Oversee the ANVP and Partner Advocate Programs
- Supervise Intake Specialist, ANVP and Partner Advocate staff, interns and/or volunteers
- Coordinate BIPP intake processes including scheduling with BIPP staff, coordinate schedules for other intake workers, train staff and volunteers/interns on intake process, ensure timeliness and efficiency of the intake scheduling process.
- Work with BIPP staff to conduct orientation and intake sessions for new participants
- Audit client intake files and client data (digital and paper) with confidentiality for accurate and complete documentation
- Provide educational groups using appropriate psycho-educational teaching techniques.
- Effectively teach nonviolence skills utilizing tools provided by an approved educational curriculum(s).
- Maintain client files and records with confidentiality, accurate and complete records.
- Schedule and conduct exit sessions for participants that are completing the program.
- Collect and report statistical data reflecting the services provided.
- Maintain accurate records on collection of participant's fees and receipts.
- Provide public education, in-service workshops, and professional training presentations, and update training materials as needed.
- Provide supervision and support to student interns and volunteers serving as co-facilitators.
- Assist the Director of Battering Intervention and Prevention Program in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and staff development
- Maintain professional relationships with probation department, parole, district attorney's office, judges and child protective services to assure best delivery of services to client.
- Maintain CEUs as required by TDCJ-CJAD.
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and practices related to racial equity
- Participate in DCFOF staff and education meeting as requested.
- Provide the highest level of customer services consistent with the agency philosophy and agency policies and procedures.
- Oversee the ANVP and Partner Advocate Programs
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
Prerequisites:
- Master's degree in counseling, social work or related field
- Current licensure (LPC-Associate, LPC, LMFT-Associate, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist)
- Advanced knowledge of domestic violence dynamics
- Battering intervention and/or victim advocacy experience
- Ability to work effectively with adult men, women and adolescent males
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and Saturday hours
Preferences:
- Bilingual in Spanish
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs easily
- Ability to stand (either inside or outside) for extended periods of time
