Position: Room Service Order Receiver & Cashier

Location: In person required: 325 Hughes Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89169

Shift: Open, Swing, Closing, Weekends, Holidays (Mandatory)

Starting Base Salary: 12.00 plus tips

Expected Hours: 20 30 hours per week

Position Summary:

The Room Service Order Taker & Cashier is responsible for managing all incoming inroom dining requests while ensuring accurate billing and smooth coordination between guests, kitchen staff, and room service server assistants. This dual role blends guest service, communication, and administrative accuracy to deliver a seamless room service experience from order placement to final payment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Interaction & Order Taking

  • Answer room service calls promptly with a warm, professional tone.
  • Provide menu guidance, answer questions, and offer recommendations or upsells.
  • Accurately enter guest orders into the POS system, confirming details such as allergies, dietary needs, and delivery times.
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
  • Follow up on delayed orders or special requests to maintain guest satisfaction.

Cashiering & Billing

  • Post room service charges accurately to guest folios using POS and PMS systems.
  • Verify pricing, service charges, promotions, and discounts before finalizing transactions.
  • Handle cash, credit card payments, and room charge authorizations in accordance with policies.
  • Reconcile daily receipts and prepare endofshift cashier reports.
  • Assist guests with billing inquiries or corrections in a courteous, solutionoriented manner.

Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized records of orders, receipts, and shift documentation.
  • Communicate menu changes, unavailable items, and special promotions to guests and staff.
  • Keep the ordertaking and cashiering area clean, stocked, and wellorganized.
  • Support room service operations during peak periods as needed.

Service Standards & Compliance

  • Uphold brand standards in every guest interaction.
  • Protect guest privacy and financial information at all times.
  • Follow all credit and cashhandling procedures and internal controls.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel events and service protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or cashiering preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a professional phone presence.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing.
  • Familiarity with POS/PMS systems (e.g., Toast, R365) is an advantage.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
