ABOUT THE ROLE

Assist in the management of the quality system for Amrize (Enverge Division), manage a small Team of Technicians in QA/QC and R&D. Reporting will be Executive Director Technical Service and R&D, and/or his designee.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and positive work environment
  • Supervise Quality technical employees
  • Delegate responsibilities and grow/mentor technical support staff
  • Oversee day to day Quality Operations in support of Manufacturing/Production
  • Ensure staff members follow company rules and polices
  • Implement, oversee, and maintain 5S culture in Quality
  • Enforce productivity/efficiency standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain Quality services by enforcing quality, audit
  • Maintain/update and enforce site Chemical Hygiene Plan
  • Maintain testing equipment (calibrations, checks, software updates) in Quality and R&D area(s)
  • Analyze and resolve Quality issues in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain files consisting of product data, product batch sheets and certificates of analysis (COA's) and chemical Safety data Sheets (SDS's).
  • Ensure proper training and career plan actions for Quality subordinates.
  • Operate Gas Chromatography and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry instrumentation to perform routine analysis of samples.
  • Perform initial data interpretation and report results to the supervising chemist.
  • Execute DOE matrix for samples over several months ensuring samples are not contaminated, stored properly, and data is accurately reported.
  • Audit raw material storage conditions in the production facility and report out daily (eg. temperature, humidity).

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
