The Mechanical Project Engineer will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. High energy, a strong sense of curiosity and hands‑on mechanical experience is required.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes and product designs.
  • Evaluates business cases for new manufacturing processes, presents recommendations to upper management.
  • Creates new designs to solve difficult manufacturing problems.
  • Designs or sources production equipment, robotic systems and automation equipment.
  • Prepares detailed CAD models and drawings to facilitate fabrication.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of progressive manufacturing/mechanical engineering experience in a manufactured products environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience designing machines and machine components including but not limited to shafts, bearings, motors, frames, fixturing, etc.
  • Prior experience with manufacturing equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team orientation.
