About the Role:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading inspection activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing the Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) team to maintain the highest standards of safety, airworthiness, and maintenance quality.

Reporting

The Quality Control Manager reports directly to the Director of Quality.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Quality Control team, including allocation and oversight of ACAs.
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance and inspections comply with Transport Canada regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee in-process inspections, final inspections, buy-backs, and function checks.
  • Verify accuracy and traceability of all technical records and maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Engineering to support project requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, root-cause analyses, and support corrective/ preventive action processes.
  • Deliver ACA training to develop personnel competency and ensure full compliance with CARs requirements for certification privileges and maintenance release authority.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and support training to ACA's and maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain audit readiness and act as the primary liaison during customer and regulatory audits.
  • Promote a strong safety and quality culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Valid AME License (M2) with extensive heavy maintenance, modification, and inspection experience.
  • Type endorsement courses for Dash 8-100/200/300/400 and CRJ series aircraft are strong assets.
  • Prior ACA Authorizations or experience performing independent inspections preferred.

Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of aviation quality systems and Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
  • Experience leading inspection teams within an AMO environment is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organization abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
