Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nocturnist Provider, you will join a physician-centric organization dedicated to delivering top-quality, accessible inpatient care within the community. You will have the opportunity to focus on patient well-being, supported by comprehensive resources designed to streamline administrative tasks and enhance your practice within a hospital setting.
In your practice, you will engage in a flexible work schedule, typically involving dedicated inpatient shifts (e.g., 7-on/7-off or similar models). You will provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, diagnostic workups, and discharge planning. This role demands strong clinical acumen for managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions and close collaboration with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician committed to upholding the highest standards of medical ethics and customary practice. You will possess exceptional clinical skills in inpatient medicine and a passion for providing compassionate, high-value care to acutely ill patients.
  • Be responsible for comprehensive patient care to assure that the health care needs of patients are being met, including attendance at Interdisciplinary or nursing rounds and daily communication with the team caring for the patient.
  • Renders quality medical services according to qualifications as an internal medicine or family practice physician with appropriate referrals, follow-up and hospitalization. 
  • The Hospitalist supports hospital medical staff and other area physicians utilizing the Hospitalist service by overseeing the inpatient experience, including providing follow-up care for patients in the outpatient realm.
  • Communicates health status and treatment plan to patient, family and hospital staff.
  • The Hospitalist documents information completely for patient care and billing purposes, and assists in the review of work flow, office practices and objectives; and teaches medical students, residents and others in graduate health education programs.

We are offering a competitive base salary guaranteed for up to three years (Nocturnist workload is 12 shifts a month or 144 shifts a year. Nocturnist shift rate is $2,337.89/shift), a generous CME allowance, and up to $200,000 in recruiting incentives, which include a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, a residency bonus, and relocation assistance for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Additionally, a Physician Mentorship Program is available for professional growth and development.


Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctorate of Medicine required
  • Current Physician License in the state of Colorado required
  • Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required
  • Other certifications may be required depending on practice setting or credentialing requirements

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
