Austin, TX

Full-time

Re-posted 24 days ago

Job description

Come join our familia as Director of Sales – Whole Foods Market. We're looking for a genuine leader who feels the pulse of the Natural Channel landscape and has a knack for knowing exactly what key partners like Whole Foods and UNFI need. You know the job isn’t just about hitting targets. It’s also about building and fostering deep trust and inspiring everyone around you to drive sustainable growth. We believe that Juntos es Mejor (together is better), and that means that you’re always up for collaboration and throwing in whenever someone needs help and support. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a resilient and adaptable spirit. If this sounds like the kind of journey you want to go on with us, we’d love to hear from you.

About You:
  • You’ve got almost psychic powers at predicting what Natural Channel retailers want and need. Building trust with the folks at Whole Foods and UNFI is basically second-nature.

  • You believe deep in your bones that there’s no “I” in team (okay…so there is an “I” in “chip”...and “tortilla”…and “cookie.” Dang. That’s a common vowel. But the whole team thing is still totally valid). The point is that no matter how big you dream, no matter how lofty your goals, you’re always ready and eager to get in and help the team with all the stuff, large and small.

  • For selling and storytelling, you know that Juntos es Mejor (together is better).

  • You inspire brokers, distributors, and internal teams to new heights of accountability and alignment.

  • You’re adaptable as a Swiss Army Knife and cool as a cucumber when things are moving fast and evolving quickly.

What You Will Do:
  • Directly manage Whole Foods Market and UNFI relationships to achieve revenue targets, distribution goals, trade spend guidelines, and long-term strategic growth objectives

  • Develop and execute customer-specific annual business plans that drive sales, market share growth, velocity improvements, and omni-channel excellence across all Siete categories

  • Lead macro selling initiatives across the entire Siete portfolio, identifying opportunities to expand presence, improve merchandising, and strengthen strategic retailer partnerships

  • Serve as the primary voice of the retailer internally by providing actionable feedback on innovation, assortment opportunities, competitive trends, and evolving shopper needs

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution across forecasting, supply planning, launches, promotional programming, and customer initiatives

  • Create monthly and annual forecasts for base and promotional volume by product line; proactively communicate risks and opportunities to internal stakeholders

  • Partner closely with Shopper Marketing to build high-impact omni-channel activation plans that improve visibility, conversion, and ROI across digital and in-store platforms

  • Collaborate with Demand Planning and Customer Operations teams to support strong service levels, inventory management, and operational excellence with UNFI and Whole Foods Market

  • Lead broker management efforts including annual goal setting, accountability, tracking, and performance management

  • Analyze retailer, distributor, syndicated, and internal data to identify opportunities and inform strategic recommendations

  • Represent Siete in retailer meetings, innovation reviews, distributor events, industry conferences, and trade shows

  • Willing to travel an average of  30% to attend trade shows and customer meetings.

Your Experience:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in CPG Sales, preferably within the Natural or Specialty retail channel

  • Previous experience managing Whole Foods Market and UNFI relationships

  • Proven track record of driving growth within complex retail and distributor environments

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of syndicated data platforms (SPINS, Circana/IRI, Nielsen, etc.), retailer portals, and distributor reporting systems

  • Experience developing trade strategies, forecasting demand, and managing promotional investments

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while also executing at a high level in a fast-paced environment
