Position Overview

An established, nationally recognized architecture and design firm is seeking an experienced Project Architect / Project Manager to join its growing design practice!

The firm's size provides access to major projects, multidisciplinary resources and long-term career opportunities, while its studio structure allows professionals to work closely with dedicated teams and develop meaningful relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Architect or Project Manager who wants to lead major projects, work with an established multidisciplinary team and join a growing practice with years of committed work ahead of it.

Now you can be part of large and sophisticated building projects being designed today. The team specializes in large-scale, ground-up buildings, with individual buildings approaching 500,000 square feet.

This design studio is experiencing significant, sustained growth with a project backlog extending through 2032. This position is being added to expand the team's capacity and support continued growth.

The Project Architect / Project Manager will have substantial ownership of projects from design through construction, while working with multidisciplinary architecture teams.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will provide both project management and architectural technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead large, complex architectural projects from design through construction
  • Manage ground-up projects and multi-building campus developments
  • Lead and coordinate internal architectural project teams
  • Collaborate closely with in-house engineering disciplines
  • Manage project schedules, budgets and overall project delivery
  • Develop and manage project proposals
  • Coordinate permitting and jurisdictional approvals
  • Lead construction administration activities
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
  • Oversee architectural documentation and project execution
  • Provide QA/QC leadership throughout the project
  • Mentor and support project team members
  • Help establish project priorities and maintain communication across multidisciplinary teams


What We're Looking For

  • 10-25+ years of professional architectural experience
  • Experience managing commercial, institutional or other large-scale building projects
  • Ground-up / new construction project experience a plus
  • Experience leading architectural project teams
  • Experience with budgets, proposals, permitting and construction administration
  • Proficiency with Revit
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects
  • Architectural licensure is preferred, but not required
