About the Role:
The Project Coordinator at TechServ is responsible for supervising a team of engineers and engineering technicians to ensure overall project success. The Project Coordinator will assign tasks, provide ongoing guidance and training, and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Note: Design project types will vary by department. Project types may include: joint-use and make-ready functions, distribution design and engineering, telecommunications network upgrades, and more. Team sizes may vary between 5 -15 individuals (direct reports).
Duties & Responsibilities:
โ€ข Supervise the design process to ensure all designs comply with client specifications, industry standards (e.g., NESC), and other relevant regulations
โ€ข Serve as the first point of reference for technical inquiries from direct reports
โ€ข Provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity and quality of work
โ€ข Monitor and enforce adherence to processes set by client specifications and senior management
โ€ข Respond promptly to organizational or client-driven changes, alerting team members as changes occur and utilizing approved communication channels
โ€ข Provide ideas to enhance efficiency and speed in the design process
โ€ข Anticipate potential obstacles in the design process, and develop proactive solutions
โ€ข Communicate promptly with team and other stakeholders as challenges or changes arise
โ€ข Maintain an open line of communication with direct reports and project leadership
โ€ข Establish and maintain a culture of high-performance among direct reports
โ€ข Work with leaders and team members to facilitate/support internal change efforts to increase organizational effectiveness
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
โ€ข Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, customers, team, and company leadership
โ€ข Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively coach and mentor direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in a field of Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or similar
โ€ข Approximately 3 years of experience in the technical and infrastructure industry, especially Distribution Utility Design
โ€ข Knowledge of design, calculations, and design systems, including Joint Use and NESC safety codes (note: specific knowledge requirements will vary by department)
โ€ข OSHA 30 Certification
โ€ข Defensive Driving Training
โ€ข First Aid/AED/CPT Certification
Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the use of standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
โ€ข Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer are required
โ€ข Occasional standing, walking, and movement throughout the office to access equipment and collaborate with team members
โ€ข The ability to view a computer screen for extended periods, requiring good vision or corrective lenses if needed
โ€ข May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
