The Global Manager, Project Management leads global Project Management teams for Carling and manages Project Manager running the Carling product development projects to attain high quality product launches. Manages the operational aspects of complex engineering projects from inception through implementation that have significant impact to the company. Coordinates cross-functional teams and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team and line management. Accountable for results of the team. The Global Manager, Project Management combines dual leadership + execution nature.


About Your Role:

  • Manage / Lead Carling Project Management team (USA, Mexico, China). Accountable for results of the team. 40%

  • Monitor and control the compliance to requirements and risk of assigned projects.

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, goals and objectives.

  • Ensures that project milestones are identified and tracked to proactively identify and resolve issues and mitigates risks that may threaten the project delivery.

  • Ensure clear communication within the project management teams and towards management. 30%

  • Plan human resource requirements for the development of new products. 10%

  • Ensure new product development meetings are robust and time effective. 10%

  • Be a subject expert on the corporate processes for New Product Proposals and the 5-Phase Development program.

About You:

  • Minimum of B.S. in engineering is required so that the manager is able to understand the new product objectives & challenges, design criteria and product's functional performance. PMP Certification or equivalent are an advantage.

  • 10+ years of experience in product development environment.

  • Min. 5 years of Project Management engineering experience in automotive and commercial vehicle industry

  • Ability to plan & maintain a budget, and required team management skills to direct & lead subordinators

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and data analysis skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to relate effectively with both internal and external personnel

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Automotive OEM's and/or Tier 1 customer interface experience required.

  • Design engineering experience a plus.

  • English communication skills are a must; bilingual skills a plus.

  • Good presentation skills for internal/external customers, and good training skills.
