Job description

JSG is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to lead the implementation and oversight of EVMS project controls within a dynamic organization. This on-site role in Midtown Atlanta offers an exciting opportunity to influence high-stakes projects in the power generation and T&D sectors.

In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and manage EVMS processes across diverse project portfolios, support project teams with your expertise, and ensure adherence to industry standards. Your strategic leadership will help streamline project performance, optimize cost control, and enhance communication among stakeholders, all while working closely with a team of talented project controls specialists.

Required Skills:

  • Accredited associate or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, business administration, or related field
  • 10+ to 15+ years of relevant experience in program management, cost control, or project controls
  • Strong background in project planning, scheduling, estimation, and cost management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Excel, Power BI)
  • Proficiency with Primavera or Microsoft Projects preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects independently
  • Deep understanding of EVMS principles, industry standards, and governance requirements
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a focus on accuracy and detail

Nice to Have Skills:

  • PMI, AACE, or RICS certification
  • Experience with Power Generation, T&D projects, or similar high-level infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with ERP, Planning & Scheduling, and cost management applications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline
  • 10-15 years of hands-on experience in project controls, cost management, or program management, ideally within industrial or manufacturing sectors
