Due to Satterfield & Pontikes' continued growth and expansion, we are adding an experienced Project Manager to our Austin team. We specialize in projects ranging from $20 million to $300 million across a variety of sectors, including education, healthcare, aviation, mixed-use, and large industrial warehouse developments. In this role, you will lead project execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client and partner relationships.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Promote and ensure compliance with company safety policies and programs
  • Review, monitor, and coordinate approvals of shop drawings and submittals
  • Develop schedules of values and obtain billing approvals from architects and owners
  • Partner with Superintendents to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project objectives
  • Oversee the project Quality Control Program
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control adjustments
  • Manage and process project change orders
  • Formulate, maintain, and monitor all required project reports and logs
  • Schedule, attend, and lead project meetings, owner meetings, and project closeout walkthroughs
  • Monitor project schedules, financial performance, and overall project progress
  • Coordinate with project teams to proactively identify and resolve challenges
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop project staff
  • Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager on projects valued at $25 million or greater
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, project controls, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Experience managing large-scale projects in education, healthcare, aviation, mixed-use, industrial, or similar markets preferred
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
