Job description

Overview:
Leads client-facing implementations for Treasury Management products and payment automation solutions, overseeing initiatives to consolidate multiple payment methods within a single operational workflow. Serves as the primary point person for clients, partnering with Sales and third-party providers to align expectations, timelines, status communication, and regular project meetings. Creates, maintains, and monitors project plans, reports, and related documentation to support successful delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage client-facing project management delivery across Treasury Management products and services for multiple clients and products, overseeing timelines and project plan adherence from kickoff through production implementation.
  • Act as the primary point person for clients and vendors, communicating project scope and expectations with support from Sales and third-party providers and translating technical information into clear, client-friendly project status updates.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain project plans and schedules, document accurate project activity notes, and clearly communicate project requirements, constraints, and deliverables.
  • Measure project performance utilizing appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress.
  • Solicit feedback to improve process performance and proactively implement approved actions or workarounds to mitigate project risks.
  • Contribute to project team performance by fostering collaboration, team cohesiveness, and proactive leadership. Identify opportunities to educate, motivate, and support Project Managers, Sales, and internal partners to strengthen the Project Manager brand.
  • Support larger project initiatives working under the direction of higher management.
  • Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and responsibility of each team member, to effectively coordinate team activities.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:
Individual contributor role with responsibility for overseeing and managing all client interactions from project inception through completion.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' proven general management, project analysis or project management experience,
OR in lieu of a degree,
A combined minimum of 5 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years' proven general management, project analysis or project management experience including a minimum of 2 years' is project management experience.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $74,600.00 - $124,400.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
