Job description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Project Engineer to support a multi-million dollar project in Boise, ID. These Project Engineers will oversee the implementation of water treatment systems and associated components. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Project Engineer with large construction projects. They will be asked to work cross-functionally with other Site Engineers, Project Management, Site Planners, and numerous subcontractors that are handling the installs. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with an innovative company that is gearing up for hyper-growth!


Key Responsibilities:

Cross-Functional Coordination & Team Collaboration

Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering Managers, discipline engineers, and project teams to improve project execution methods.

Work independently and within interdisciplinary teams in a professional and timely manner.

Support engineering, project management, and deployment groups to identify and resolve issues.

The shift will be from 4pm to 12am - Monday through Friday On-Site.


Client & Stakeholder Management

Interact with clients to interpret needs and requirements.

Translate customer requirements into actionable project plans.

Respond to client complaints, concerns, and requests throughout project execution.


Engineering Coordination & Technical Oversight

Ensure engineering documents and deliverables are accurate and completed on schedule.

Determine project specifications by studying system designs, customer requirements, and performance standards.

Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and practices.

Ensure health, safety, contractual, and legal requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor compliance with project specifications, standards, and policies. Resolve project issues and recommend corrective actions as needed. Procurement, Vendor Management & Cost Coordination Work with vendors and purchasing teams to establish equipment specifications.

Prepare material take-offs and requisitions.

Expedite deliveries and vendor orders.

Coordinate manufacturing efforts, project schedules, and cost controls. Review contractor bids and support contractor coordination.

Reporting, Documentation & Project Controls Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintain project databases and ensure data backup integrity. Prepare and maintain project documentation and meeting records.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years of experience as a Site/Project Engineer for large construction projects

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Staad Pro, Navisworks (or similar)

Excellent communication skills - ability to work independently and cross-functionally


NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Familiarity with Micron's ID1 Project

Mechanical Engineering experience

Experience as an Electrical Engineer or Instrumentation/Controls Engineer Structural/Civil Engineering experience

Experience in Water, Wastewater, or Oil/Gas
