GPLA, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an experiencedSenior Project Accountantwho will delivercomprehensive financial oversight for projects by ensuringaccurateaccounting,timelyreporting, and adherence to organizational standards. They will support project success by analyzing moderately complex financial data,identifyingrisks based on precedent, and recommending solutions tomaintainbudgetary alignment. They enhance decision-making by preparing clear, actionable financial reports and analytics.

The Senior Project Accountant strengthens organizational performance by driving continuous improvement in project accounting processes and controls. They also influence project accounting leading practices by collaborating across teams and providing guidance to peers and less experienced team members.Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Manage moderately complex project accounting activities with large-scope, including budget tracking, cost analysis, and revenue recognition, to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Review project budget, costs, reports, and forecasts based on independent judgment and comprehensive project accounting experience.
  • Analyze the financial performance of projects byidentifyingvariances and recommending corrective actions tomaintainproject profitability.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve moderately complex or varied accounting issues and support project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies in allprojectfinancial activities.
  • Support less experienced team members in resolving moderately complex project accounting issues and provides technicalexpertiseon project accounting guidelines and processes.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in project accounting operations.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, accounting cost management software (Ajera experience highly preferred).
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in project accounting,financial management, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude.
