Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the end-to-end technical execution of a major electronic development effort. This role involves mentoring and developing a team of talented Electrical Engineers and overseeing the design, analysis, prototyping, integration, and testing of space-qualified electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop a team of talented Electrical Engineers.
  • Oversee design, analysis, prototyping, integration, and testing of space-qualified electronics.
  • Ensure hardware integrity through comprehensive verification processes.
  • Manage engineering schedules, resource planning, and milestone execution.
  • Coordinate closely with Cognizant Engineers, systems engineering, and cross-functional partners.
  • Manage project budgets and performance (EVMS/CAM), seeking efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Drive engineering process improvements to enhance quality, speed, and robustness.
  • Support customer engagements, technical presentations, and major design reviews.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or project lead role.
  • Strong background in electronic system development; space-grade or high-reliability hardware experience is a plus.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with cost account management and budget oversight.
  • Expertise in design fundamentals, PCB development, and test methodologies.
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across diverse teams.
  • Active U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Ability to obtain additional government clearances as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hardware, Autocad electrical, PCB design, digital, electronics, circuit design, analog.
  • Engineering management and project management experience.
  • Experience in mixed signal electronics design.
  • Proficiency in Allegro CIS Schematic Capture and PSPICE.

Work Environment

The work environment is casual with a business casual dress code. It is deadline intensive and fosters a great team environment. The team consists of a small group of equipment design engineers within a larger facility that is mostly engineering-focused with 120 total people onsite. The company offers a long-term contract with the potential for many years of work, and the facility is very large and cutting-edge.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
