About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems for automated vision inspection solutions used in manufacturing environments. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the development of innovative, reliable, and cost-effective inspection equipment that enhances product quality and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical assemblies, machine structures, fixtures, and motion systems for vision inspection equipment.
  • Develop detailed designs and engineering documentation using CAD tools.
  • Lead mechanical design activities for new product development and customer-specific projects.
  • Create and maintain BOMs, engineering documentation, and design changes.
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, controls, and applications teams to integrate cameras, lighting, automation, and inspection systems.
  • Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product improvements.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues in manufacturing and customer environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on performance, quality, reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in machine design, industrial equipment, automation, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design, kinematics, precision engineering, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Experience with BOM management, engineering documentation, and product lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and PLM tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automated inspection systems, machine vision, robotics, or industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO quality standards.
