Clean Harbors is seeking an InSite Operations Manager to oversee onsite environmental operations and manage the InSite team at a customer facility in Brunswick, OH. In this role, you will coordinate all Clean Harbors activities at the site, provide Health and Safety oversight for onsite staff, and manage the customer's air, water, and hazardous waste programs from cradle to grave. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery while building strong relationships with customer stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in operations and compliance.

Starting Pay Range-$65,000 to $89,000 DOE

Responsibilities
  • Oversee waste management services at a customer site or group of customer locations, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate the efforts and Health and Safety oversight of Clean Harbors onsite employees supporting the customer's air, water, and/or hazardous waste programs.
  • Ensure utilization of all equipment and manpower is maximized to support productivity, service quality, and profitability.
  • Develop, monitor, and measure against operational and financial key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and cost control.
  • Establish and maintain processes to measure performance of all onsite personnel, setting clear expectations and improving performance levels over time.
  • Ensure the infrastructure, tools, and employees are equipped to conduct business efficiently and perform well in their jobs.
  • Guide the professional development of onsite personnel through coaching, training, and mentoring; support succession planning and talent growth within the InSite team.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with all company and customer policies and procedures, including environmental, health and safety, and operational standards.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting, analysis, and data to upper management related to operations, KPIs, and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders and internal Clean Harbors leadership to address issues, implement new initiatives, and optimize program performance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall InSite Program success.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, environmental services, or a related field.
  • Required training/certifications:
    • RCRA training
    • OSHA 24-hour HAZWOPER training
    • DOT training
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both internal teams and customer contacts.
  • Broad knowledge of managerial skills, selling skills, and equipment operations.
  • Basic math skills and basic safety training skills.
  • Demonstrated management/leadership experience, including supervising teams and driving performance.
  • Experience working with profit and loss (P&L) statements and providing accurate, timely analysis and data to upper management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver's License - Class B/C with hazardous materials endorsement.
  • Prior experience leading onsite/InSite-style environmental programs at customer facilities.
