Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Program Manager at our West Caldwell, NJ location. About Crane: Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to aerospace and defense markets, including satellites, missiles, radar, and more. Job Summary Program Managers provide leadership and management of crossโ€functional business, technical, and operations teams during product development programs from customer proposal through production readiness. Success is measured by customer satisfaction, schedule milestones, and cost targets. Responsibilities Review and evaluate customer proposals and change requests; lead bid package elements ensuring technical, cost, and schedule compliance. Develop, monitor, and update detailed program plans, schedules, and resource needs to meet milestones. Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), coordinating engineering, operations, and supply chain for manufacturable designs and cost targets. Serve as the primary customer interface through regular communication, progress reviews, scope management, and changeโ€control processes. Manage program cost, schedule, risks, and issues using standardized projectโ€management tools; drive mitigation and stakeholder alignment. Facilitate transition from development to production and prepare, collect, and communicate program metrics to internal and external stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of program or project management experience. Proficient in program management philosophies, processes, and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project). Technical aptitude to understand design and production processes for aerospace/electronic products. Demonstrated leadership, results focus, customer service orientation, action orientation, planning & organizing, teamwork, business acumen, and decisionโ€making skills. BS degree in engineering or a technical discipline. Eligibility for access to Controlled Data or Information; U. S. Persons only if required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a technical aerospace field. MBA or comparable advanced management degree. Formal training in Program or Systems Management (PMI or equivalent). Experience in engineering product development and certification processes. Working Conditions Standard office environment with substantial visual concentration on detail. Manufacturing environment requiring safety equipment (e.g., eye safety glasses, masks, hearing protectors). Exposure to loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes. Travel up to 10%. Standing 20% of time; sitting 80% of time. Lifting up to 20lbs; pushing up to 20lbs. Mental/visual use of computer required.
