Job description

Job Summary:

The Program Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and program oversight while working to create a patient centered care environment, focused on teamwork, collaboration, and respectful engagement. Program Manager will lead quality initiatives, engage in effective communication with BHH and St Mary's Health System teams, and work to build community partners, culminating in a high quality, patient experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
  • Provides direct administrative supervision/oversight of all program staff, utilizing positive coaching methods to foster accountability, respectful engagement, and personal investment in achieving optimal client outcomes.
  • Engage consistently with staff, beginning with program orientation, to ensure the client is the focus of team efforts, demonstrated through timely engagement and documentation, client satisfaction surveys, care plan goal achievement, and quality outcomes.
  • Completes time and attendance for team members
  • Interviews and hires, provide formal counseling, accurately performs annual appraisals and career interviews in a timely manner
  • Ensures program adherence to state licensing requirements as well as BHH core competencies, employing organizational skills and timely follow up. This includes chart reviews/audits.
  • Provides oversight of program referrals, focusing on timely referral assignment and required waiting list follow up. Ensures compliance with state guidelines for referral management.
  • Leads regularly scheduled staff meetings to ensure effective communication, including active listening, fostering an environment of positive engagement.
  • Oversee consistent team member engagement with state portal as well as leading process for monthly program attestation, based on state requirements.
  • Ensures annual competencies and certifications are up to date.
  • Attend trainings and public events in a leadership capacity.
  • Assists with program marketing visits.
  • Other duties as consistent with this role.

Job Requirements

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Must be able to speak clearly, read, write, and comprehend the English language, demonstrating effective communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience providing program oversight and/or case management leadership preferred, including an awareness of state program and licensing requirements
  • Must be able to be self-directed and self-motivated as well as demonstrate an ability to use critical thinking, flexibility, and crisis management skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities, demonstrating time management and organizational skills
  • Experience with EPIC or other electronic health record preferred
  • Experience with Excel, creating workbooks is preferred

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a relevant field that is eligible for LSW licensing as well as MHRT-c certification. Active LSW/LSX licensing preferred.
  • Possess an active Maine Driver's License
