Role - Program Management
Experience Required - 8+ Years
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Project and Program Management skills and prior exp of working on large programs.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
โ€ข Create, execute & track Delivery Plans for large programs
โ€ข Facilitate and lead technical conversations (e.g., relating to architectural approach and system design) and documents solutions.
โ€ข Drive team/release level processes demonstrating servant leadership coupled with domain knowledge and technical acumen.
โ€ข Facilitate Program level planning meetings and other ceremonies with delivery teams.
โ€ข Ensures dependency alignment across teams.
โ€ข Execute the Program Increment (PI) objectives to support the strategy, vision, and road map
โ€ข Ensure value is achieved by the team on behalf of end users.
โ€ข Work in partnership with Product Owners and the core and extended team to build and prioritize the product backlog.
โ€ข Support product owners by ensuring backlog refinement and readiness.
โ€ข Collaborate with other Technical Project Managers (TPM) to coordinate cross-team dependencies and other teams within the organization.
โ€ข Create metrics driven insights into the delivery and execution of the team using relevant team levelmetrics.
โ€ข Responsible for tracking iteration progress, actively adding to design discussions, issue resolution, and removing obstacles to ensure sprint/iteration commitments are met.
โ€ข Support and encourage innovation through continuous exploration.
โ€ข Drive Agile team objectives.
โ€ข Provide visibility into gaps, issues, risks, and opportunities across Agile teams.
โ€ข Coach teams to embrace the Technology SDLC process, Agile values, principles, and practices, and actively inspire teams to reflect and improve their delivery capacity
Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelors degree in technology related subject area or equivalent experience required
โ€ข 10-15 years of experience in technical program or project management, overseeing large-scale, complex transformation programs
โ€ข Experience leading Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality
โ€ข Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing
โ€ข Excellent oral and written skills; Ability to efficiently communicate across product, technology, and business partners
โ€ข Ability to deliver complex software iteratively and with quality
โ€ข PMP/PgMP/SAFe certification and experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
โ€ข Experience using Rally delivery management platform is required
โ€ข Deep understanding of Agile at Scale or iterative development processes, including quality and testing standard practices
โ€ข Well versed in Project Planning, Delivery & Release Management
โ€ข Merchant Product knowledge (Characteristics, Pricing & Submissions) and at least 5+ years of working as Program or Senior Project Manager at American Express [Mandatory]
Base Salary Range : $90,000 to $120,000 Per Annum
