What you will be doing 

Real Estate Store Portfolio PMO has an opening for a Sr Program Manager. In this role, you will lead assigned initiatives and have an opportunity to influence how we work by playing a key role in our PMO practice.   

Our PMO drives organizational alignment, increases efficiencies & accelerates deployments by establishing consistent program management processes, creating transparency and visibility to all projects that touch our physical store environment and focusing on continuous improvement.  

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main corporate offices Pleasanton CA or Boise, ID.  

Main responsibilities 

  • Refine and improve PMO business rhythms, reporting, and documentation processes to further establish PMO best practices and capabilities 
  • Drives organizational change and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Program Management processes 
  • Evaluate and assess new initiatives to gain deeper understanding of the goals & objectives, defining program objectives, scope and establish business requirements 
  • Develop program structure by identifying key stakeholders, assigning resources, and deliverables  
  • Lead and manage large complex enterprise-level programs including managing multiple cross functional teams, functional integrations, vendors, and division stakeholders.    
  • Create and maintain proper artifacts that can be leveraged, including schedules, risk/ issue tracker, decision logs, financials (estimates/budget/forecasts), etc.   
  • Analyze program objectives to determine and actively manage dependencies across teams and in-flight projects, coordinating implementation plans across all work streams within the program. 
  • Provide recommendations regarding the key milestones and dependencies requiring visibility at the Sr Leadership level 
  • Perform ongoing program-level risk management, identifying risks and driving teams to perform the needed mitigation or contingency plans 
  • Actively drive program-level issues to closure or appropriately escalate to the Sr Leadership team 
  • Create stakeholder communication plans including project status reporting to various audiences 
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to project managers across the program to achieve desired goals 
  • Continue to build out our Smartsheet environment and documentation 

The salary range is 102,700 to $ 143,800 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.  

Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).  [If applicable:] Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.  

What we are searching for 

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience: 

  • 4-year degree and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience  
  • 10+ years of experience with demonstrated evidence of increasing growth and responsibility 
  • 3+ years of program management experience w responsibilities spanning interdependent projects 
  • Strong project management skills and experience with data visualization tools  
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SmartSheet and other Project Management Software  
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, manage and resolve cross-track program level issues and risks 
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and train team members. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to balance competing priorities in meeting business deadlines 
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills 
  • Must possess superior problem-solving skills, be action-oriented and decisive 
  • Self-motivated, strong time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables 
  • Previous experience with medium to large projects in Retail Companies is a plus 
  • Previous experience in construction project management (desired)
