Job description

Description:

BLOX is revolutionizing the construction industry by integrating advanced manufacturing principles with innovative technology to deliver high-quality, modular building solutions. We are driven by a mission to rethink how buildings are designed, fabricated, and delivered, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

BLOX is seeking a Senior Manager, Program to lead one or more BLOX modular programs and the Managers who run them. This role owns program P&L with explicit margin accountability, develops and maintains C-suite-level client relationships, and contributes to BLOX’s strategic pipeline decisions. The Senior Manager is accountable not just for overseeing performance, but for building the team structure, operational procedures, and leadership capacity required to deliver at scale.

Program Management is the central nervous system of BLOX. Where Project Managers own the flow of information on their individual projects and program Managers own the interpretation of that information within a single program, the Senior Manager, Program owns the organizational capacity to produce, interpret, and act on that information across one or more assigned programs. This role sets the standards, invests in the systems, and steps directly into programs when senior intervention is required — taking control of programs in serious financial, schedule, or client-relationship jeopardy and driving them back to stable operation.

Job Responsibilities:

Program Management

• Own program P&L with explicit margin accountability — accountable for financial outcomes across assigned programs, not oversight only.

• Design, build, and restructure the program team as needed to meet operational demands; evaluate team structure, right-sizing, and capability gaps.

• Develop and maintain C-suite-level client relationships, representing BLOX at the highest levels of client organizations.

• Contribute to BLOX’s strategic pipeline decisions — provide input on which programs and clients BLOX pursues, based on operational capacity, margin potential, and strategic fit.

• Take direct control of programs in serious jeopardy — financial, schedule, or client-relationship crises — and drive them back to stable operation.

• Refine and improve operational procedures across programs; establish program-wide standards for schedule, financial reporting, procurement, and stakeholder communication.

• Present and defend Business Case Reviews to Executive Leadership.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of program Managers; accountable for their performance, retention, and professional development.

• Champion leadership development within the program; support the progression of Managers, Senior PMs, and high-potential PMs.

• Champion safety and quality culture across the program.

• Ensure consistent execution of BLOX standards and best practices across all assigned programs.

• Represent assigned programs in senior enterprise forums; translate cross-program lessons learned into organizational practices and continuous improvement of BLOX’s program management systems.

Field Management

• Represent BLOX at senior client-facing milestones and executive-level client events.

• Serve as the senior BLOX point of contact for C-suite-level client executives.

• Take direct field-level control of programs in crisis when senior intervention is required.

• Serve as the final escalation point for major disputes, claims, and client issues across assigned programs.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field.

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated accountability for one or more programs totaling more than $100M in actively managed contract revenue.

• Demonstrated C-suite-level client relationships — not just PM or executive-level contacts.

• Proven ability to build, restructure, and right-size a program team.

• Demonstrated ability to take direct control of a program in serious jeopardy (financial, schedule, or client-relationship crisis) and return it to stable operation.

• Proven track record of presenting and defending Business Case Reviews with Executive Leadership.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information for Executive Leadership and C-suite audiences.

• Strong financial acumen; ability to make sound P&L decisions with explicit margin accountability.

• Advanced proficiency in scheduling; ability to set program-wide scheduling standards and direct scheduling work across multiple platforms (MS Project, Primavera P6, and Smartsheet).

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for program-level financial and operational analysis.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Bluebeam.

• Expert negotiator with a fair and ethical mindset; ability to lead contract strategy, claims, and dispute resolution.

• Strategic and operational leadership capacity; ability to position BLOX for long-term success within the programs you lead.

• Ability to travel up to 25% depending on program phase and intervention needs.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (MBA, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or similar).

• Relevant professional certification (PMP, ASHE CHC, LEED AP, or similar).

• Demonstrated capacity to set analytical and data requirements for the program team; ability to evaluate whether the right analysis is being performed, not only whether the output is correct.

• Demonstrated ability to set organizational standards for cost modeling and financial analysis; fluency reviewing complex financial models at an executive level.

• Ability to interpret CAD, Revit, or SolidWorks models sufficient to contribute to design strategy discussions.

• Working understanding of Python, SQL, and data modeling tools sufficient to evaluate and sponsor their application within program workflows.

• Working knowledge of AI/ML, statistical modeling, and data engineering concepts sufficient to set organizational adoption strategy and direct team investment.

• Demonstrated ability to champion adoption of AI tools such as Claude.ai, Claude Code, Lovable, or Replit across program teams; proven track record establishing organization-wide AI adoption standards and performance benchmarks.

• Ability to establish program-wide KPI frameworks and dashboard standards (Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet dashboards).

• Experience directing ERP reporting and data strategy (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or comparable) across assigned programs.

• Demonstrated senior-level leadership experience in estimating, cost analysis, or data analytics within construction, manufacturing, or related industries.

• Experience operating within modular construction or design-build environments.

Benefits:
