- What will I do in this position if hired? Developing tools and products to support management on evaluating productivity and effectiveness, improving communication and efficiency, and improving staff support for the Alaska Area Office (AAO). Serving as a team lead. Monitoring and reporting on the progress of work, reviewing completed work, assessing to see that deadlines and quality have been met. Serving as facilitator in coordinating team initiatives. Identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve AAO operations. Developing briefing materials and other products to support AAO and Alaska Joint Field Office staff and operations. Supporting the Region and State of Alaska as State Liaison Officer and with other emergency management issues. Supporting the Region and State of Alaska concerning emerging issues including, but not limited to, climate resilience, Arctic initiatives, and homeland security. Collaborating, reviewing lessons learned, and supporting exercises and planning activities with Alaska emergency management partners, including Region 10 divisional staff, the Alaska Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, local emergency support function partners, DOD, and other federal agency partners.
