Position Overview

Pro Movement Physical Therapy Services is actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our orthopedic outpatient clinic located in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will become a vital part of our dedicated team, delivering exceptional patient-centered care that focuses on rehabilitation and the improvement of functional movement. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, alongside comprehensive benefits.

Our state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility is designed to promote healing and recovery. Our team comprises seasoned professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, creating a dynamic environment where expertise and compassionate care intersect.

Work Environment

This role is situated in our well-equipped outpatient office, designed to foster healing and comfort. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured work-life balance. The environment is collaborative, with an emphasis on continuous learning and development, allowing therapists to stay current with the latest advancements in physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient conditions to identify physical therapy needs and goals.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans using evidence-based practices, addressing individual patient motivations and functional objectives.
• Educate patients about their conditions and empower them through effective communication, helping them understand the importance of their treatment plans.
• Maintain a manageable patient load by ensuring effective scheduling to accommodate one patient per hour.
• Utilize specialized techniques and interventions to promote recovery, reduce pain, and enhance mobility.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Encourage a proactive approach to health by creating fitness and wellness programs aligned with patient goals.
• Implement strategies to minimize reliance on medications by promoting non-surgical interventions when applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Most of our clients carry private medical insurance, allowing for a broad range of treatment options tailored to their specific recovery needs. Your expertise will make a significant impact on their rehabilitation journey and encourage an active lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Strong manual therapy skills, complemented by a solid understanding of therapeutic exercise routines.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR), specifically WebPT, to enhance patient care efficiency.
• No disciplinary actions against your licensing.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Proven ability to develop and execute individualized treatment plans that lead to successful patient outcomes.
• Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team is highly desirable.
