Work Environment

This position is full-time and involves working onsite at our rehabilitation facility. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic. You will be working closely with a supportive team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, fostering an environment of collaboration and shared expertise. Our facility is designed to promote the best patient outcomes, complete with advanced therapeutic equipment and a comfortable setting for patients to receive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify the specific goals and needs of each patient.
  • Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused attention and quality care.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans utilizing a wide range of intervention techniques aimed at orthopedic issues.
  • Provide personalized, evidence-based therapy sessions that promote recovery through strength, flexibility, and coordination.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to execute comprehensive care strategies.
  • Document each patient’s progress and treatment interventions accurately using EMR software like WebPT.
  • Encourage patients by tracking their progress and motivating them towards achieving their rehabilitation goals.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and the importance of lifestyle modifications to enhance their health and well-being.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, conditions requiring specialized rehabilitation, and those looking to enhance their overall fitness and movement capacities. Our patient population is comprised largely of individuals with private medical insurance, and our practice is committed to making rehabilitation as accessible and effective as possible.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
  • No history of disciplinary actions against the professional license.
  • Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing health-focused exercise routines.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.
  • A track record of successful patient outcomes in rehabilitation settings.
Compensation and Benefits
