Why Coastal Pools

Coastal Pools is one of the area’s leading custom pool builders, dedicated to making an impact and creating an extraordinary experience for our customers — building quality pools, providing exceptional service, giving back to the communities where we work and live, and fostering a culture of opportunity and growth for our Associates throughout their careers. We’ve been recognized as 2025 Best of Annapolis & Eastern Shore and consistently rank among the top pool builders in the region.

The Role at a Glance

The Sales Manager leads the day-to-day sales engine of Coastal Pools — turning the strategy and targets set by the VP of Sales into signed contracts and a great customer experience. You lead and develop the Sales & Design Consultants, CSRs, and the coordination team, run the weekly sales rhythm, and own the pipeline from lead to close.

This is a coaching leadership role. You set clear goals, run on the numbers, and develop your team to own and close their own deals — stepping in to support, not to take over. You partner closely with Marketing on demand and with Production on clean handoffs, so selling and building move as one.

What You’ll Own Lead & Develop the Sales Team
  • Lead, coach, and develop Sales & Design Consultants and CSRs to own their pipelines and hit their numbers.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain strong sales talent; run consistent coaching and accountability.
  • Manage the Sales Coordinator and Permit Coordinator to keep the sales-to-production handoff clean.
Own the Pipeline & the Number
  • Own the regional pipeline from lead to close; deliver on revenue, margin, and conversion targets.
  • Run the weekly sales meeting and a metrics-driven rhythm — everyone knows their numbers and how to hit them.
  • Drive accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in JobTread / Salesforce.
Quality of Sale & Customer Experience
  • Set and uphold standards for proposals, quotes, and the design/selection experience.
  • Ensure a white-glove customer experience from first contact through contract and handoff.
  • Partner with Marketing on lead flow and with Production on feasibility and handoff.
Tools, Process & Reporting
  • Champion adoption of JobTread and the Salesforce rollout for tracking and accountability.
  • Monitor KPIs — conversion, deal size, cycle length, win/loss — and act on them.
  • Report results and pipeline health to the VP of Sales.
Who Thrives in This Role

You’re a sales leader who loves both the strategy and the coaching. You can build the plan and then sit with a Consultant to help them win. You run on metrics, you develop people, and you’re energized when the team is hitting its numbers and the customer experience is excellent.

You lead through your team rather than carrying every deal yourself, and you stay close enough to the pipeline to know exactly what’s happening.

Strongly preferred:

Experience in pool, construction, home improvement, or a related industry

Experience with Salesforce or another CRM

Experience coaching front-line sales professionals and leading a structured sales cadence
