Requirement/Must Have:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Plant Sciences, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and a general understanding of scientific principles and laboratory practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in performing laboratory tasks.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and execution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience with plant tissue culture and transformation methods in an industry setting preferred.
  • Experience with light and fluorescent microscopy preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist technical personnel with routine laboratory operations, data collection, and information management in support of scientific research.
  • Perform tasks according to established methods, standard operating procedures, and training provided by the work group.
  • Support gene editing technology development pipeline through plant transformation and tissue culture activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and organized workflows.
  • Identify and resolve problems proactively.
  • Execute tasks efficiently and contribute to a safe and productive laboratory environment.
