Position Summary

The Field Calibration Technician is responsible for providing on-site calibration, maintenance, and technical support to ensure customer equipment meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while delivering exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs on handheld pipettes and laboratory instruments
  • Provide customer training and support to ensure proper use and care of equipment
  • Accurately document calibration data, service activities, and maintenance records in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Manage and coordinate daily service appointments and travel within assigned territory
  • Operate a company-provided service vehicle to deliver efficient on-site service
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and enhance customer experience
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, calibration methods, and industry standards
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in field service, calibration, or technical support (lab or life sciences preferred)
  • Experience with pipette calibration is a plus
  • Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements in life sciences is preferred
  • Proficiency with calibration software, diagnostic tools, and digital systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and prioritize tasks

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
